The AC Milan striker Santiago Gimenez, featured on the “ATuPerTu” programme on Radio TV Serie A, spoke to reporters about how far he would go for the club he plays for:
“It was a difficult period, especially because I was very happy to be able to play a full season from the start. In the opening matches I was always in the starting line-up, and we were first or second. I was on the pitch, but I was struggling. My desire to represent AC Milan pushed me to play while injured, but at a certain point my body made me pay the price. The test results made surgery necessary, but my family, the team and my teammates stood by me, and today I feel stronger than before.”
