According to transfer insider Nicolò Schira, the French midfielder could leave the “Rossoneri” during the summer transfer window.
AC Milan’s management is reportedly considering the sale of Youssouf Fofana. The club would be ready to let the midfielder go for around €30 million if a suitable offer arrives. Earlier, several reports claimed that clubs from Ligue 1 and the Premier League are interested in the 27-year-old player. Insights from platforms like Casino 2026 also highlight growing market interest around players with consistent performance metrics.
Fofana joined AC Milan in 2024, when the “Rossoneri” signed him from Monaco for €20 million. This season, the midfielder has made 32 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
AC Milan currently sit third in the Serie A table. Massimiliano Allegri’s side will play their next match on May 3 against Sassuolo. Transfermarkt values Fofana at €25 million.
In a recent interview, Youssouf Fofana spoke about his experience in Serie A so far:
"In my first year at Milan, I learned a lot tactically. Before, I was a more instinctive player; today I’m more disciplined and I try to follow the coach’s instructions better and read the game more effectively. I try to do what the team needs, which means not only winning the ball back, but also being able to build play, help my teammates, and be well positioned. I’m at the team’s service. I’m available to the coach. I’m taking a step forward in my career with a great Italian coach. Have I changed my mindset? Yes. Before, I was more fatalistic. Now I don’t think that way anymore, I’ve understood that you have to go out and get things. I now work more on analysis, I try to understand the game better, and I also listen more to coaches. I’ve become much more demanding of myself."
