Claudio Raimondi, speaking on SportMediaset on Italia Uno, provided an update on Milan’s transfer market and in particular on the attacking department, which could be completely reshaped in the summer. None of the five forwards currently in the squad has a guaranteed place for next season.
One example of a possible departure is Christopher Nkunku, whose agent recently met with the Rossoneri directors: Milan would like to collect €40 million, but that will be very difficult. Offers in the region of €30 million are considered more “realistic”. Santiago Giménez could also leave at the end of the season: from his sale, the club aims to earn at least €20 million. Niclas Füllkrug will not be bought permanently and will therefore return to West Ham.
Pulisic and Leão:
Regarding Christian Pulisic, Max Allegri would like to keep him, but his contract expiring in 2027 complicates matters somewhat, because without a renewal within a year Milan could lose the American on a free transfer. At the moment, negotiations over his extension are frozen.
Rafael Leão is also on the market: his €175 million release clause is far out of reach, but Milan are demanding at least €60 million to sell him. There is not a queue of clubs for the Portuguese player, although there is some interest, such as from Al-Hilal: the team of his former teammate Theo Hernández is a possibility that could develop. Even though Milan would prefer not to sell him within Italy so as not to strengthen a direct rival, attention should be paid to Napoli and Roma as possible options if Manna were to arrive as the new sporting director.
