The AC Milan supporters are going through increasingly difficult weeks filled with question marks about the club’s future. It is a situation that has been repeating itself for far too many years now and one that should be resolved once and for all out of respect for the badge that these people are supposed to represent. On one side, Inter are celebrating two trophies within a few days, while on the other side of the Naviglio, more and more worrying news emerges every day: from the Ibrahimović-Allegri dispute, to the now certain departure of Igli Tare, to Gerry Cardinale’s comments, which have only further inflamed the frustration of the fanbase. To make matters even worse, the team itself no longer seems to remember not only how to win, but even how to play a match worthy of the colours they wear. The latest humiliation came with the 3–0 scoreline after 55 minutes against Atalanta, which led the Curva Sud Rossonera supporters to leave the stadium after just half an hour, something truly unusual considering their relentless and unconditional support up to that point, even during the team’s recent terrible performances.
Everything that is happening, all the rumours that newspapers and journalists have been bringing to light in recent hours, is certainly not helping the moment the team is going through: the corporate turmoil being exposed publicly was the last thing the environment needed in order to get back on track in these final two matches and secure the objective that would drastically affect the balance of next season. All of that is correct and true, I do not think anyone could claim otherwise, but it must also be said that this cannot and must not become an excuse for the team to fail to secure fourth place. The Curva Sud Milano also wanted to reinforce the message yesterday: “An unworthy management cannot be the excuse for missing out on Champions League qualification” was the message displayed and hung on the railing at Milanello, a direct statement to the players, who will continue to receive the warmth and support of the organised fanbase, but who must repay it on the pitch.
Two matches to decide the Rossoneri club fate:
So, starting already from Sunday, the team must shut out all the noise that has emerged in recent days, hoping that the training retreat decided by Tare and Allegri has also helped from this point of view. They must take to the pitch and do what every player wearing the Milan shirt is supposed to do: fight until the 95th minute and beyond, give everything for the shirt, sacrifice themselves for one another, and WIN. There is no other solution, there must be no other result, out of respect for the work done this year, for personal pride, for the fans who are always present, and to achieve the MINIMUM OBJECTIVE, the Champions League, which should be considered normal and should never even be in doubt, as pointed out via Milan News.
