It is no secret that, once again, there is a sense of upheaval at the Rossoneri club. The reshuffle in the management structure could also involve Giorgio Furlani, the CEO of Milan, who in recent weeks has been heavily criticised by Milan supporters, who have repeatedly called for his resignation. His work will be carefully assessed at the end of the season by Gerry Cardinale, who has put everyone under review after this campaign.
As reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the renewal of the club’s organisational structure could also affect Furlani’s position, provided that in the end it is not he who decides to leave the club on Via Aldo Rossi: the past few weeks have been very difficult, and for this reason it cannot be ruled out that he himself may choose to say goodbye to Milan in order to return to more strictly financial business and leave the Rossoneri in the hands of other executives. A name? Adriano Galliani, who in the past was at the helm of the Rossoneri club for 31 years and was one of the architects of the great successes of the Berlusconi era.
Galliani could be an option for Milan:
In recent months, there had already been talk of a possible return to Milan, which however never materialised. Will things be different this time? The person who strongly hopes so is undoubtedly Massimiliano Allegri, who has a close friendship and great mutual respect with Galliani, the man who brought him to Milanello in the summer of 2010. It is no secret that, in order to remain on the Rossoneri bench, the coach from the ex Juventus coach is asking for certain guarantees: the presence of the former Monza CEO on Via Aldo Rossi would be the most solid assurance for the manager.
However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is also a third scenario: Galliani and Furlani could in fact coexist, with the experienced former CEO being assigned a broader, more expansive role.
