Alessandra Gozzini, journalist, expressed the following in La Gazzetta dello Sport regarding the future of Giorgio Furlani:
“Before the new Milan can take shape, the current one must first finish its work: not a very long wait, with just five days remaining until the end of the league season. It is a period that both the club and the squad would like to spend in peace, with attention focused solely on the next and final match. In the meantime, however, even without making final decisions before the end of May, major planning and behind-the-scenes moves continue."
"The executive who is currently fully dedicated to the project is CEO Giorgio Furlani, who, unwillingly , has also become the target of criticism from supporters. The CEO was in the stands at the Ferraris stadium two days ago, on what he described as the most stressful day of his professional and private life. Furlani also led the Milan delegation that travelled to London last week for a meeting with Gerry Cardinale: he stayed an extra day."
"It will be Gerry who decides whether the restructuring of the club will also involve the position of the chief executive. However, as with Allegri, there may also be a willingness from the individual involved, in this case Furlani, to independently reconsider his own future, and perhaps opt to return to more strictly financial business, leaving Milan in the hands of other managers."
