Rafael Leao's statements, in which he effectively announced that he wants to leave Milan, caused quite a stir among the fans, though rather less so at the club's headquarters on Via Aldo Rossi, where, in a sense, they had been expecting such words. Perhaps they did not expect him to say them at this particular moment of total chaos within the Milan organisation, but the message itself surprised no one.

Milan will not sell Leao easily:
As reported by gazzetta.it, Milan has taken note of Leao's intentions, and no one intends to lose sleep over his departure, given that for weeks the Portuguese forward had effectively been placed on the transfer market. However, those at Casa Milan also want another point to be clear: Milan has absolutely no intention of underselling Rafa, who was and remains a valuable asset for the club.
Therefore, Milan will not stand in Leao's way if he wants to leave after seven years, but he will depart only under specific financial terms. The Portuguese player also added that his intention is to continue his career in another top-tier European league. At the moment, it must be said, there is not exactly a queue of clubs lining up for the Rossoneri number 10, but Milan hopes that the Club World Cup can provide the right showcase for Leao to impress and attract new suitors.
