Ruben Amorim will be AC Milan's new head coach. The official announcement is expected in the coming days, and reports from Portugal have revealed details of the contract the Portuguese manager is set to sign with the Rossoneri. According to O Jogo, the former Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United coach will sign a two-year deal with an option for a third year, earning a salary of around €3.5 million per season plus bonuses. The bonuses will amount to €1 million if Milan win the Serie A title and €500,000 if the club qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
After being dismissed by Manchester United last January, Amorim had considered taking a sabbatical year and had even turned down opportunities to work in Portugal. However, Milan's offer changed his plans. Having admired the club since childhood and always dreamed of managing them, he decided to accept Milan's proposal immediately.
