According to information obtained by the MilanNews.it editorial team, Ruben Amorim has just signed his contract with AC Milan; it is, as previously anticipated, a two-year deal worth €3.2 million per season plus potential bonuses linked to team results (from Portugal they specify €1 million in the event of winning the league title and €500,000 in the event of qualifying for the Champions League), with the option of a third-year extension. The signing took place electronically, as the Portuguese coach is not in Milan today.

How Amorim's Milan would play:

Ruben Amorim’s preferred formation is 3-4-2-1, with possible variations into a 3-4-3, and it is therefore highly likely that he would also adopt the same tactical system at Milan. The Portuguese coach asks his team to dominate matches through structured possession, aggressive pressing, and a continuous search for numerical superiority in different areas of the pitch. It is, clearly, a very modern style of play.

The central figure in the project remains the centre forward, who at his Sporting Lisbon side was a certain Gyökeres, so not just anyone. In Amorim’s football, the striker is not only the attacking focal point tasked with finishing chances, but must also be able to attack space, shield the ball, lead the press, and help the team build up play. It is a role that requires intensity, mobility, and constant involvement in both phases of the game. For this reason, any potential squad construction would inevitably revolve around the search for a forward capable of fulfilling these duties.
