Ruben Amorim has begun his first real role as AC Milan head coach: working out who can stay and be part of the Rossoneri project. While waiting for the transfer market – and the board – to take shape, the Portuguese manager is calling players to introduce himself, explain the project and gauge their intentions. At the training camp on 12–13 July, around ten loan players could return, including Musah, Chukwueze, Bennacer, Camarda, Zeroli and Comotto.
Looking at contracts, Amorim could assess almost 30 players, but many are expected to leave. Bondo, Terracciano and Bennacer are set to depart, while big names such as Maignan, Rabiot, Pavlovic, Tomori, Loftus-Cheek, Gimenez and Leao remain uncertain. At least around ten signings will be required.
