AC Milan continue to shape their summer transfer plans in line with Ruben Amorim's requests. After securing their first signings, the Portuguese coach has asked for another attacking wide player capable of operating on both flanks. Before making their next move in the market, however, the Rossoneri are hoping to complete a major departure: Pervis Estupiñán.
Amorim wants a versatile winger: Milan draw up a shortlist
Milan's priority is to strengthen the wide areas. Amorim has requested a player who can play on both the right and left wings, with pace, strong one-on-one ability, and accurate crossing.
To that end, the club's hierarchy are already at work, as relayed via Milan Press. Directors Gardiner and Almstadt have drawn up a shortlist of potential targets, which will be reviewed in the coming meetings alongside Amorim and owner Gerry Cardinale to identify the ideal signing for the club's new sporting project.
Estupiñán heading for the exit: Aston Villa and Deportivo La Coruña interested
Before stepping up their pursuit of new arrivals, Milan would like to finalise a significant sale. The leading candidate to leave San Siro is Pervis Estupiñán, who only joined the club 12 months ago but now appears increasingly likely to move on.
As reported in recent hours, Aston Villa remain interested in the Ecuador international and are working on finding the right deal structure. According to reports from the Spanish media, however, Deportivo La Coruña have also entered the race.
The Spanish side, who have returned to La Liga after an eight-year absence, are aiming to build a competitive squad and see Estupiñán as one of their main targets to strengthen the left flank.
Talks between the parties are ongoing, and there is a growing feeling that the defender's future lies away from Milan. His departure would allow the Rossoneri to free up both squad space and financial resources, which could then be reinvested in the versatile wide player requested by Amorim.
