For AC Milan, alongside the work being done on the training pitch, the club remains active in the transfer market and has completed the signing of Sankhoun Diawara. The young centre-back arrives from Troyes for a fee around 2 million euros.
Diawara's imposing physical presence, defensive solidity and strength in one-on-one duels convinced Milan to invest in him after he made 14 appearances and played 1,048 minutes in Ligue 2 last season.
In midfield, confirmation has also arrived regarding Luka Modrić. The Croatian superstar will continue wearing the Rossoneri shirt, once again bringing his experience, quality and leadership to the team, both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
Meanwhile, Rafael Leão's future remains uncertain. The Portuguese forward spoke on the Podpah podcast in Brazil yesterday, and Corriere dello Sport republished part of his comments:
"These days, scoring eight goals for Milan is considered good. But people always expect more: they want 10, 15 or even more. Especially after the arrivals of Haaland and Mbappé, who score 60 goals. They tell me, 'Score 10 goals... only 10 goals.' But 10 goals is actually a lot."
