Franco Baresi was one of the symbols of Arrigo Sacchi’s Milan, and the former coach dedicated an entire page of today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport to him. Against a red background, with a black heart in the centre, there was a special message in memory of his Captain:
“To my extraordinary Captain, the last heroic bastion on the pitch and the first incomparable example for everyone, with immense affection and profound gratitude, Arrigo Sacchi.”
At the top, there was also the phrase: “There is only one Captain.”
