On the morning before the friendly match between AC Milan and Inter in Perth, La Stampa published an interview in its print edition with former Milan and Brazil left-back Serginho. The Brazilian remains deeply connected to the Rossoneri and the club, which he still represents today through Fondazione Milan and the Milan Legends around the world. During the interview, he also spoke about new head coach Ruben Amorim.
Speaking about Ruben Amorim, Serginho said:
"He is already showing that he understands the DNA of this club. At Milan, it is not enough just to play, and it is not enough just to win. You have to strive to play attractive football because that's what everyone expects. The Milan I know has a certain mentality and always wants to be the protagonist in every match."
