The player is appreciated by Sarri, who tried him as a midfielder this summer, looking to integrate him as effectively as possible into his 4-3-3. However, the Poland international could be interested in a new experience in a setting that could bring out his qualities. Atalanta would like to keep him, but as the newspaper explains, Milan’s interest could change the situation.
Comfortable on both the right and left and potentially capable of playing as an attacking midfielder, the arrival of the Tivoli-born player would pave the way for a possible departure of Estupinan, following Athekame’s imminent move to Lyon, and would reshuffle the cards on Milan’s flanks. For now, Milan and Atalanta are still only at the enquiry stage, but a possible acceleration cannot be ruled out.
Strongly wanted by Juric at La Dea exactly 12 months ago, Zalewski has had an interesting journey during the last few transfer windows. In January 2025, he joined Inter on loan, before the Nerazzurri made his move permanent at the beginning of the following summer, paying Roma around €6.5 million. A couple of months later, in August 2025, they sold him to Atalanta for €17 million. Now, a possible new experience and a potential return to Milan could await him.
