During his usual video update on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano, alongside Matteo Moretto, provided an update on Rafael Leao’s future, with the Portuguese forward being contested by Aston Villa and Galatasaray:
“We are living through the crucial hours for Rafael Leao. Because while yesterday was a day of frantic contacts regarding the framework agreement between the clubs for Galatasaray, the situation is now being played out on Leao’s side. It is Rafa’s moment, and he has to understand what he wants to do with his career: whether to go ahead and finalise a move to Galatasaray for a very high salary, or whether he will prefer the Premier League. The ball is completely in Rafael Leao’s court. Today will be a day of meetings with his entourage, his family...”.
Moretto also spoke about Leao:
“...Exactly. There will be contacts between Leao’s entourage, Aston Villa and Galatasaray. So we will understand how it ends in the coming hours; in other words, a conclusion will be reached between today and tomorrow.
I’ll add that Ricci’s move to Como is practically a done deal. Verbally, everything has been agreed. The clubs have reached an agreement for a paid loan worth around €1.5 million, with a purchase option of around €20.5 million, plus bonuses, so it is an interesting deal. Ricci pushed to go to Como; he also had other options, but he asked Milan to let him choose his own destination. We expect the deal to be finalised, in terms of the paperwork, between today and tomorrow.”
