Omari Hutchinson spoke to the AC Milan’s official channel.
The new Milan attacking midfielder discussed several topics:
The Milan move and his father’s stories:
“It’s crazy, a dream. When AC Milan come knocking, it's crazy to not come. My father always told me about the great players who have worn these colours, so being part of it now is an amazing feeling.”
The call from Amorim:
“I spoke to Amorim, when he called, the first thing he said was that I had scored against him. I laughed, said sorry, and he said: 'yeah, no problem, now it's time to do that with us'. He gave me some interesting and positive feedback, and I want to work well for him and for the badge. I can't wait.”
On his playing style and celebration, Hutchinson said:
“I like having the ball and getting into the box as quickly as possible, as well as entertaining the fans. I hope to do well at Milan, score goals and celebrate with a backflip," as relayed via Milan News.
On meeting Andrea Pirlo:
“Meeting Pirlo was crazy. I was on holiday with my family and he was there with his family; we were in Spain. I got out of the car and asked him for a photo, and then we spoke for several minutes about the team I was playing for. It’s incredible that there are so many legends at Milan. I really liked Kaká, Robinho and Ronaldinho.”
On Kobe Bryant, Hutchinson said:
“I have Kobe Bryant as my phone wallpaper; he is a source of inspiration for me. I watch his videos on TikTok and his interviews on YouTube, trying to put into practice what he said and the lessons he taught.”
