Following the accident last night, Daniel Maldini, according to SportMediaset, tested positive in a breathalyser test. The Cagliari player, who scored against Atalanta yesterday, had his driving licence revoked after recording readings of 0.91 mg/l in the first test and 0.89 mg/l in the second, carried out at the scene by the local police.
According to the reconstruction by the local police, Maldini was driving a Porsche Carrera and reportedly entered Via Caracciolo in Milan from Via Tolentino without giving way to a Golf that was travelling towards Via Mac Mahon. The front of the Cagliari player's car then struck the other vehicle, which subsequently crashed into a parked Mercedes on Via Caracciolo. Maldini was taken to the Fatebenefratelli hospital under a blue-code emergency classification, while the injured parties were taken under a yellow-code classification to the Policlinico, San Carlo and Fatebenefratelli hospitals. "Daniel is fine and did not suffer any injuries, let alone serious ones," lawyer Buongiorno clarified.
