Against Torino, Venezia and Juventus, he comfortably played as one of the two central midfielders, consistently ranking among the best performers. Lazio, however, managed to throw the Croatian star off his game and indirectly contributed to fuelling questions about his longevity and, consequently, his suitability for the role. Against Benfica, he remained on the bench for the entire match. Now Amorim will have to decide which role to reserve for his star player.
