After last Saturday’s match away to Lazio, Gerry Cardinale had returned to the United States following several weeks in Europe for work commitments.
The head of RedBird thus had the chance to spend some time with his family after a long period away from them. However, the Milan owner is expected back in Italy in the coming hours, as tomorrow evening he will once again be in the stands to watch Amorim’s team take on Lecce at San Siro.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport explains that Cardinale’s return to Milan is absolutely not related to Wednesday’s defeat to Benfica in the opening Europa League match. His trip had in fact already been planned, and the Milan owner’s schedule already included his presence in the San Siro stands for the match against Lecce. The head of RedBird has so far attended all four of the Rossoneri’s league matches at the stadium.
