The Corriere dello Sport newspaper leads with the following headline in this morning’s edition:
“Ramos, all alone. Often isolated and with his back to goal: Milan are not helping him.”
Gonçalo Ramos has struggled at the start of the season, particularly in his last three appearances, as he failed to register a single shot on goal against Juventus, Lazio or Benfica. That is a worrying statistic, given that we are talking about Milan’s main attacking outlet.
The Portuguese striker, who joined from PSG in the summer, is too often isolated and spends most of his time playing with his back to goal. Clearly, he is also struggling partly because of the rest of the Rossoneri side, who are creating goalscoring opportunities only sporadically, with Ramos understandably among those most affected.
The fact that Ruben Amorim continues to change the attacking midfielders playing behind him is certainly not helping either.
