AC Milan took centre stage at VOGUE World last night, one of the most prestigious and genuinely global events in the fashion calendar, with three players walking the runway alongside some of the most prominent names in fashion, entertainment, music and international cinema, in a truly unique setting in the heart of Milan, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Now in its fifth edition, and marking the event’s Italian debut, VOGUE World: Milano opened Milan Fashion Week and was one of the most significant celebrations of fashion and culture on the international stage.
The three players – Ruben Loftus-Cheek representing the Men's First Team, Ashley Hu representing the Women's Team, and Lorenzo Ossola, captain of Milan Futuro – wore the three kits of the current season, in a moment that brought football and fashion together in an authentic and natural way, carrying the rossoneri colours onto Vogue's international stage in front of a truly global audience.
One particularly meaningful moment of the evening was the backstage meeting between our players and Roberto Bolle, a world-renowned étoile and one of the most celebrated and admired ballet dancers internationally. Bolle played a central role in the event, having been among the protagonists announced since the official presentation of VOGUE World: Milano, and is regarded as one of the most representative figures of Italian artistic excellence worldwide. His meeting with our players was a further moment of authentic connection between the world of sport and that of art and Italian culture, perfectly in line with the theme of the event.
