Manchester United have published their annual financial results, and revealed that the dismissal of Ruben Amorim and the rest of his coaching staff cost the club around €9.5 million (over £8million), as relayed via Mirror.
In fact, the current AC Milan head coach arrived at the Manchester club in November 2024 before being sacked in January 2026.
The initial compensation package had been set at €19.4 million, but the Portuguese coach's contract included a clause providing for a reduction in the amount if he found a new club, which happened this summer following his agreement with Gerry Cardinale.
