Born in Rufisque, Senegal, on 13 January 2007, Mendy is a centre-forward whose main strengths are his physical power and ability to attack space. Standing 196cm tall and naturally left-footed, he quickly progressed from Cagliari’s Primavera side to Fabio Pisacane’s first team, making his debut on 27 April 2026 against Atalanta and scoring twice. Cagliari signed him in the summer of 2025 from ASC Bambey’s youth academy for just €10,000, with his former club retaining a 5% sell-on clause.
