AC Milan's focus today goes to Bergamo in what could be a very important match for the club against Atalanta. The Rossoneri have a big chance to finally grab the qualification to the Champions League.

Today could be the last matchday of Hakan Calhanoglu in the Rossoneri shirt. His contract expires in about a month and there are no signs of renewal so far.

Another attacking midfielder that the Rossoneri managers at Casa Milan must think of is Brahim Diaz. The Real Madrid's loanee is set to return to Real Madrid, unless AC Milan will want to negotiate with the Spanish giants, which will not be an easy discussion.

In fact, according to what is reported by Tuttosport this morning, Milan has a list of players that they are tempted to try to sign to improve the attacking midfield.

One player in question is Atalanta's Slovenian playmaker Josip Ilicic. The former Fiorentina man's contract expires in 2022. Despite his age, 33, the mercato men are fans of his qualities and abilities.

The other name on the list is Udinese's Rodrigo De Paul. The club sees him as an excellent replacement for soon-to-be free agent Hakan Calhanoglu. However, the obstacle is the reported pricetag which is 40 million euros.

AC Milan also keeps a close eye on Roma. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 32, Armenian offensive midfielder is seen as a great profile because he has quality and a lot of experience.

But, it is not excluded that Milan will move towards younger profiles and prospects. Two jewels of Toulouse should be taken into consideration: they are the 21 year old Amine Adli and the 18 year old Janis Antiste. Their talents are clear, but they would be signings for the future and not for the present moment.

There will be more evaluations soon. However, for now, all the thoughts and focus are with the current squad and players of AC Milan as they departed to Bergamo to play the most important game of the season against Atalanta in an effort to secure to the Champions League.
