Journalist Luca Bianchin had this to say in 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' about Milan's Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos:
"Milan should send a belated birthday present to Orjan Nyland, who turned 36 on September 10. Nyland is Norway's goalkeeper, the man who saved Bruno Guimaraes' penalty at the World Cup, that was the moment Ancelotti was eliminated, and during this international break he gifted Gonçalo Ramos the ball for Portugal's 2-1 goal against Norway. A misplaced pass turned into an assist. Ramos did well to control it and lob him, scoring again after 30 days. Just short of the psychological one-month mark without a goal."
Now, what will happen?
"Portugal will play in Denmark on Thursday, then host Norway on Sunday. That's good news for Milan because there will be a full week between the last match and the trip to Sassuolo, giving him time to recover. What remains to be understood is when Ramos will start. Gonçalo said he has earned his place, but in Portugal that's almost like feeling you have become President of the Republic, because that attacking spot belongs to Cristiano Ronaldo, who has held it for what feels like a thousand years: he certainly can't remain on the bench for 90 minutes every time, as he did in Oslo. Cristiano Ronaldo will therefore probably play in Denmark, as he did in the first match of the international break against Wales. Ramos' horoscope, meanwhile, says he will start against Denmark, then start in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo and in the Europa League away game in Salzburg, because Milan have already lost their first match against Benfica and, well, it would be a good idea to pick up some points in Europe too."
