Milan Futuro head coach, Sergio Navarro spoke to Gazzetta.it as he revealed his approach and coaching philosophy.
"Give the player responsibility, because he has to make decisions on the pitch by himself. Science says it, not me: if you feel like you are a protagonist, your level rises."
"At my first training session, a year ago at Debrecen in the Hungarian top flight, a player asked me: ‘How are we going to play?’ And I said: ‘Ah, I don’t know.’ They looked at me as if I was crazy."
Sergio Navarro added:
"In Spain and Hungary, some people said that nothing gets done with me because I let the players do everything, but that is my strategy. And here at Milan, everyone understood me."
"When we played Everton, I asked some players to decide how we would attack, others how we would defend, and others what we would do from set pieces. They made the decisions themselves.”
