A new figure to coordinate the technical department and liaise directly with Gerry Cardinale and head coach Ruben Amorim. This is the profile Milan are looking for as they seek to strengthen their management structure.

During the summer, Cardinale was heavily involved in the transfer market personally, but the RedBird chief intends to bring in a specialist for the role. The leading candidate, since June, remains Markus Krösche, the sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt. The German executive is under contract with his current club until 2028, but there is room for him to leave earlier.
Krösche could also be joined in Milan by his right-hand man, Timmo Hardung.
The Eintracht duo, however, are not the only candidates on the Rossoneri's shortlist. Tiago Pinto, currently Head of Football at Bournemouth, Milan's opponents in the Europa League, is also highly regarded, as relayed via La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition.
Meanwhile, Mehdi Benatia is another potential candidate from France. The former Udinese, Roma and Juventus defender subsequently held a managerial role at Marseille before becoming a free agent.
