It is only mid-October, but those working in the transfer market are already looking ahead to January. It is clear that AC Milan have an incomplete squad, and the Rossoneri are working to ensure they are well prepared for the winter transfer window. As Matteo Moretto reported in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Milan are keeping an eye on Brest youngster Raphael Le Guen as a potential defensive signing.
Milan monitoring new defensive target
“There is a centre-back whom Milan clearly want to keep a close eye on between now and January. They are already monitoring him, have already watched him play in person, and have already made enquiries about the asking price and the cost of a potential deal. However, there are no negotiations between the parties at this stage.
“We are talking about Raphael Le Guen, a 20-year-old from Brest. His contract expires in 2029, and he is a French right-footed defender.
“Le Guen is a name Milan are following and is on their list alongside Gonçalo Inácio of Sporting CP. Inácio is highly rated by Amorim, but he would also come at a different cost. Le Guen would be a cheaper option and is a profile the Rossoneri hold in high regard from a technical and tactical perspective.
“We will see whether he could be the right option between now and January. He is a player Milan are monitoring very closely. There are no concrete negotiations between the parties yet, and we will see whether that could change in the coming weeks.”
