Atalanta manager Maurizio Sarri was interviewed by Sky ahead of the Conference League match against Pafos and revealed that defender Giorgio Scalvini, who picked up an injury against Venezia, is at risk of missing Sunday’s league match against Milan as well.
Here is what Sarri had to say:
“Fortunately, Scalvini’s injury is not very serious, but he clearly needs to rest for a few days. Will he also miss the match against Milan? Probably, yes, but we don’t know that yet. We will make do with the players we have left. At this stage, it is also important that everyone is involved to a reasonable extent, so it is important that as many players as possible get some minutes on the pitch.”
