So far this season, Francesco Camarda has made just eight minutes of appearances, accumulated through brief cameos in various matches. Despite staying at the club to become Gonçalo Ramos' first genuine alternative, the 2008-born striker has yet to get the right opportunity to prove that he deserves all the trust Milan placed in him over the summer.

However, almost two months into the season, Camarda will finally get his chance in Salzburg against the Austrian side in the Europa League. In this regard, Tuttosport led with the following headline this morning:
"Amorim discovers Camarda"
The headline is referring to the Portuguese coach's comments at yesterday's press conference:
"Nobody knows anything about a player unless you give him the chance to play. That is the main point. Camarda is doing very well. He earned his place during pre-season, has done his job and will get his opportunity.
"You can see that we have structured the squad to leave room for these young players. Cisse is already playing, Camarda has had a few minutes, and Comotto is not playing at the moment. But we have to give these players game time because sometimes they can surprise you, given that they are part of the squad and work and train every day alongside the other players.
"So they have to be ready when the matches come around, and what I can see is that he is ready to take to the pitch. He is really confident and loves playing for Milan. That is also very important to me, and he is an additional option for tomorrow."
