On Thursday evening, Milan beat Salzburg 4-0 at the Red Bull Arena. The Rossoneri went into the match as favourites but also made several changes compared with the line-ups fielded in the league. However, the result was never in doubt, and Milan had effectively put the game on the right track in the first half.
The undisputed star of the match was young Cisse, who scored the youngest hat-trick in the history of European competitions. Beyond that, however, the entire team delivered an impressive performance, so much so that UEFA named the Rossoneri’s display ‘Performance of the Week’.
