Speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto explained how Markus Krösche is very close to becoming Milan’s new Head of Football:
"Milan-Krosche? Contacts have nevertheless continued all along; they have never stopped. Krösche has always been Milan’s first choice, and now we are close to a happy ending.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Krösche will bring another person into the structure with him. As of today, let’s say that the person who has worked alongside him at Eintracht for quite some time, and who continues to do so, namely Timmo Hardung, will remain at Eintracht because he is effectively viewed as Krösche’s successor. So, in short, as things stand, he will not be joining Krösche at Milan.
In the coming days, there will be constant contact between the parties to finalise this agreement 100%.
Finally, I want to clarify one thing about Krösche: when he was close to joining Milan in the summer, the German had already given his approval to Ruben Amorim’s appointment as the Rossoneri’s new head coach. So, there will be no problems between Krösche and the Portuguese manager.”
