Clear ideas for the future. In a lengthy interview with SportBild, Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku spoke about his future.
His intention is to stay in Germany, rather than return to Italy, to Milan, who own his registration until June 2030:
"I am very happy in Leipzig, I know the city and the club, and I feel comfortable with everything and everyone. It is a special place for me. Here, I have experienced very significant moments in my career and my life. I have had four wonderful years, the fans are fond of me, and the atmosphere is familiar. All of this means a lot to me. The future? We are only at the beginning of the season; if it were up to me, I would stay for a long time. But in a situation like this, the two clubs have to reach an agreement; it does not depend on me alone."
Another objective for Nkunku is to wear the France shirt again:
"Zidane is a legend; he is the greatest footballer France has ever had. Everyone adores him. When I was little, he was one of my role models, and I remember the 2006 World Cup very well. I want to return to the national team, there is no doubt about that."
