Journalist Fabrizio Biasin made the following comments on Cronache di Spogliatoio while discussing Milan’s defeat to Bournemouth in the third round of the Europa League League Phase, which ended 3-0 in favour of the English side:
“I don’t think even the fans, perhaps Milan fans more than Juventus fans, will think that this is a match capable of changing their assessments, also given how it unfolded: you were down to ten men following Maignan’s sending-off, you conceded two penalties... It was a bad game for many reasons, but I don’t think it will have too much of an impact on the mood, because Milan are looking for certainties and have also found some of them.
“However, one thing is certain: Milan’s alternatives are not at the level of the second lines of at least two or three other teams fighting for the top positions in the league. And that is also fair enough, given that you are playing in the Europa League and not the Champions League: it is normal for a young player like Camarda to get some playing time, as happened in Salzburg. However, if you field Ramos’ alternative, who was nowhere to be seen, and that makes me think, it means you will necessarily have to sign a player up front in January.”
