Alessandro Costacurta spoke about the impact Ricardo Kaká had at AC Milan, with the Brazilian honoured on the evening of the derby by being inducted into the Rossoneri club's Hall of Fame:
"Kaká's debut was, for all of us, the arrival of someone who would change the fortunes of that Milan side. We were European champions, playing in a certain way. Ricky gave us, beyond his magic on the pitch, the personality and elegance of someone who could become an iconic ambassador," he told Sky Sport Italia.
Costacurta added:
"I wasn't expecting Ricky to cry (during the Hall of Fame induction ceremony), but I know that we will all miss that stadium, at least a little. However, it also creates moments like these. It was a beautiful moment because we loved Ricardo more than many others who have made the club's history. He was a Ballon d'Or winner even off the pitch."
