Diogo Dalot, Portuguese full-back loanee of Manchester United who spent the season at AC Milan, has given an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Here are his words:
On the Rossoneri experience
"I'd like to become more and more complete. On the pitch, I feel like I improved a lot tactically. I learned some defensive aspects and it was fantastic to develop them here. In attack I like to go forward with pressing, recovering the ball as soon as possible. I learned new concepts and terms."
On Pioli:
"He taught me that the team must be concentrated for the entire 90 minutes of the match and aware of every single aspect during the game. He gave me belief that everything you prepare during training sessions, you'll find it in the game and it will go exactly like it."
On Milan's season:
"Our objective was the Champions League. It is true that at some point we thought about the Scudetto. But the important thing was entering the Chapions League. We are very happy to have done it. Playing without fans? Before the derby and Atalanta game, the fans gave us a taste of what they can give to us at Milanello. A full San Siro is something from another world."
On the future:
"I'd say that I had a fantastic year and that I met great people. It was a real pleasure to be playing for AC Milan but now I am thinking about the Euro cup, and I really don't know what will happen", cocluded Dalot.
