An attacking midfielder is being sought by technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara in order to reinforce the AC Milan squad for the coach Stefano Pioli.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri club leaders have in their agenda a list of names for the playmaker role, and on top of it, there is Nikola Vlasic who is under contract with CSKA Moscow until June 2024.
The Croatian international wants to sign for AC Milan, adds the source. His will is to make the leap to Serie A. However, that will not be easily done since his club continues to ask for a fee around 30 million euros from the potential sale.
CSKA Moscow ideally wants a definitive transfer, and in worst case scenarios, they'd be willing to accept a loan with an obligation to buy.
On the other hand, though, AC Milan directors continue to propose a loan for 5 million euros with option to buy set at 20 million euros. For now, that formula does not satisfy the Russian club.
