AC Milan signed Tiémoué Bakayoko again on loan from Chelsea to bolster the midfield but also to protect themsleves in case Franck Kessié were to leave at the end of his contract.
The French midfielder has great physical qualities and can play well as a defensive midfielder like Kessié. Milan also secured Yacine Adli for next season as they purchased his card and left him with Bordeaux on loan.
Bakayoko's advantage is that he knows the league and Milanello environment quite well already. Stefano Pioli could start counting on the 27-year-old Frenchman immediately while waiting for the arrival of Adli from Bordeaux.
As pointed out by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan's midfield is in good hands with these two players in the future. But, if Maldini and Massara also manage to keep Franck Kessié at the club, then the midfield will be even better in the future.
But, one cannot forget about Sandro Tonali, who is ready to take over when Franck Kessié leaves to play with his national team at the African Cup of nations in January.
