As already reported, Tiémoué Bakayoko, who had his first appearance of the season with AC Milan against Lazio, was subject to racial abuse by Lazio fans.
The French player entered around the 61st minute to substitute Franck Kessié. The former Napoli and Chelsea midfielder suffered racial abusive chants from the same fans before in the 2018/2019 season and it has been repeated again.
AC Milan, concerning what happened tonight, issued a statement on social media. It reads the following:
"Regarding the discriminatory chants at our player Tiémoué Bakayoko coming from the guest sector by some journalists and spectators, AC Milan, after the appropriate checks, is considering presenting a complaint to the FIGC."
