AC Milan continued their run of useful results in the Serie A last night against Juventus as they drew 1-1 at the Allianz stadium.

The Rossoneri fought-well but suffered another strong blow to be added to the injury nightmare that is ongoing: Simon Kjaer had to be forced out of the pitch due to an injury relating to the right lef flexor.

Milan, therefore, must look into finding a replacement for the 32-year-old to avoid similar situations.

Alessio Romagnoli did well yesterday, who is not the usual starter. However, it must be underlined that the Italian centre-back, represented by super agent Mino Raiola has a contract expiring at the end of the season and it is not for sure that the deal would be extended. That is why Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara want to be careful and have a backup plan ready.

According to what is reported by Calciomercato.it, AC Milan will go into the transfer market in search of a player similar to Fikayo Tomori in characteristics. The club wants someone physically strong and fast. It is much easier to find these profiles in the French Ligue 1 or in Premier League, but a name has been identified in Serie A: Omar Colley.

The 28-year-old centre-back, from Gambia, is 28 years old and stands at 191 cm tall. He has been at Sampdoria since 2018 while showing good performances, especially at the start of this season. His contract is valid until 2025.

Omar Colley, however, is not the only player to please Maldini and Massara in Sampdoria's roster. There is also an eye on Mikkel Damsgaard, the Dane attacking midfielder, who also plays as a winger, was linked with a move to AC Milan in the previous mercato.
