Joe Jordan, an important figure for Scottish football who spent most of his career in the Premier League, but managed to play for AC Milan too, has spoken to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport and said the following:
"Stefano Pioli is doing a great job. The talents are many and the game that the team expresses is brilliant. I also saw the Champions League match with Liverpool. The ideas are there and the quality too. Milan have everything it takes to win. And soon they will have Zlatan Ibrahimovic back. I find him unbelievable, as they say, powerful, but he commands with his head. If Milan have had these improvements it is also due to what Zlatan has given. Since his return we have seen how the team has evolved. He is more aware, more confident. Ibrahimovic is the turning point."
On Olivier Giroud:
"For many seasons, he played in England and did very well with Arsenal and Chelsea. He is a complete striker. Between him and Ibrahimovic it is difficult to keep track of the goals scored."
Joe Jordan also talked about the Hellas Verona game which is set to take place this Saturday:
"Milan - Verona? Serie A is very tough, it's a league in which nothing is obvious. Verona got up again. They are a courageous team. They have good strikers, including Nikola Kalinic, who always knows how to strike if he is well. It will be necessary to be perfect, never make mistakes, because Milan are great again."
