Speaking during WEmbrace Sport, former AC Milan player, now intermediary, Serginho, spoke about the Rossoneri's progress so far in the Serie A and Champions League.
Here are the former fullback's words, as reported by MilanPress.it:
"It is difficult to make comparisons with my Milan team. We have suffered and worked a lot. For Pioli's players, it is the start of a journey and I hope they make Milan great again."
On the many absences in the squad currently, Sergino had this to say:
"It's not easy when you miss those 4-5 important players, Milan suffers in this because there is a technical difference between the starters and the ones who sit on the bench. You can feel it on the pitch. In the league, the club manages to compete because the team is very strong, there is balance together with other 3-4 clubs. In Europe, however, when the level rises, they suffer more. But I'm sure that if those 4-5 players who are now unavailable return there is still hope even in the Champions League."
On Pioli and the club management:
"A good job was done at Milan by Maldini, Massara and the whole club. I think it is a very young group, which is finding a balance of play. Pioli is a good coach, he knows how to work with young people. I hope he can reach the league and we hope he can go on in the Champions League."
