During the period spent with the Italy national team in the national break, Davide Calabria picked up a knock which forced him to leave the camp and return to Milanello in order to start recovery and treatment process.
As pointed out by Corriere della Sera, Calabria is now suffering of a strong calf strain. The Italian full-back who is 24 years old risks at least a month of stop time. He will therefore be missing 5 to 6 games between Serie A games and Champions League.
Davide Calabria could return to the last league matches of the 2021 year which are against Napoli and Empoli, even if no one at Milanello wants to speed up the defender's recovery time.
