Mike Maignan signed for AC Milan in the summer to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma who decided to try an experience with Paris Saint-Germain. The French goalkeeper, since his arrival, has been able to show a lot of quality which made the Rossoneri fans forget about Donnarumma's departure.
Former Milan goalkeeper Giovanni Galli has been full of praise to the former Lille star. He said to La Gazzetta dello Sport these words:
"It was a surprise in his first season in Serie A. He has extraordinary physical skills, is elastic and powerful. He does not make anyone miss Donnarumma. Milan went beyond everything: injuries, absences, they were able to do without Ibra and Giroud, Theo and Maignan himself. They went beyond the limit in the Champions League, despite for many of them it was the first time they faced such a stressful double commitment."
