AC Milan president, Paolo Scaroni, granted an interview to Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore as he talked about the complicated period at the club and world football in general due to Covid-19:
"Unlike many other clubs that have had to stop and have received contributions, it is not clear why it was decided not to assign anything to top football clubs. In such difficult times our club has committed itself to embarking on a more economically sustainable path, and it is good for the whole movement to adapt, but this treatment is not admissible for an industry like ours which employs 300,000 people."
Scaroni continued:
"If we are forced to downsize or close our doors it will be a problem for all Italians.
