Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport's 'SportWeek', Lille striker, Timothy Weah, who is the son of one of the Rossoneri's legends and the only African player to win a Ballon d'Or, George Weah, spoke about the desire to play for AC Milan:
"Of course I am focused on Lille, but it has always been my ambition to play one day in a great league like Serie A and in particular in a big club like AC Milan, which after all is a bit part of my family history."
He added:
"Would my father like it? He never talks about it openly, but when I was a child there was the idea that I was going to play in the Rossoneri youth teams. Things went differently, but maybe I will arrive at Milan anyway. In football, things go fast, and you never know."
