Lazio are currently sitting in the 7th position in the Serie A league table with 43 points collected after 27 games played. The Rome-based club, led by coach Maurizio Sarri, want to strengthen their team in the summer's market window so they can compete on a higher level. Claudio Lotito and the rest of the management believe that AC Milan's captain Alessio Romagnoli could be the key for that goal.

According to sources at Calciomercato.com, Maurizio Sarri has presented his wishlist to the club and among those goals, there is the Rossoneri captain whose contract expires at the end of the current season campaign.
Alessio Romagnoli, 26, is represented by agent Mino Raiola and a renewal, at this time seems difficult which made Lazio consider him as an option on a Bosman deal. In fact, a meeting has been set up between the club and the player's agent to see if a deal can be done.

The attempt from Claudio Lotito and his sporting director Igli Tare is certainly an important one from a significant point of view as the offer is rumoured to be around 3 million euros net plus bonuses. The former AS Roma defender is tempted to join the club he cheered for since his childhood.

Another Serie A club are interested in the player and they are the Rossoneri's rivals: Juventus. Coach Massimiliano Allegri likes the centre-back. However, there have been no contacts between the Bianconeri and Mino Raiola.
