Rafael Leao is now one of the top performers for Stefano Pioli in the Rossoneri squad. He has grown in a remarkable way compared to last season. The former Sporting Lisbon winger is highly valued by Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini and that is why they want to keep him for a few more years thanks to a new contract.
According to a report by Corriere dello Sport today, the former Lille star will surely renew his contract in a few weeks time.
In fact, his current contract expires until June 2024 and he has a salary of 1.5 million euros net per season. The AC Milan management are happy to provide him with a 4.5 million euros net salary per season. The newspaper writes that, if he learns to be more clinical in front of goalkeepers and score more goals, Rafael Leao would easily be rated in the transfer market at around 70 million euros.
