La Gazzetta dello Sport shared their ratings to discuss the game between Napoli and AC Milan. Stefano Pioli's side was able to beat Spalletti's team 1-0 and bring home three valuable points.
According to the Italian newspaper, the best player on the pitch was Olivier Giroud as he was decisive thanks to his goal in the 49th minute. He received a 7.5 rating. Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer was also shown a 7.5 due to his high pressing and ball recoveries which helped Milan apply some dangerous scenarios against Napoli. Rafael Leao also shared with them the same rating thanks to his dribbles and speed which caused a lot of danger to the other side.
The next top players of the Rossoneri were Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu who worked very hard to limit Victor Osimhen, they were shown each a 7 alongside Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez who also were solid in the defensive phase. Sandro Tonali was very good as usual with that same rating. Franck Kessié was also a key player in this fixture as he was able to apply pressure on the defenders of Napoli from his playmaker position besides dropping down to help his teammates defend: he earned a 7 rating too.
Rade Krunic, who entered later during the game was shown a 6.5 for his efforts by the Italian newspaper. As for Alexis Saelemaekers, who missed an important opportunity in the dying minutes of the game, he was shown a 6. The same rating also goes for AC Milan's full-back who replaced Calabria: Alessandro Florenzi.
